    Interior lights stay on continously

Weird thing happens to my Mk4... You shut the door and the dome lights don't go off anymore...

Anyone seen this before ? The small red light in the door trim goes off, just the top lights. The switch on the console up above your head is on "door" or "auto" (can't remember what it says ) I double/triple checked...

Don't tell me it is the door lock module ( drivers side) ; as that is not cheap ?

    Many thanks

Yes door module mate , but just to make sure you can hook up Vag com if you know someone and go into measured value blocks and check the micro switch function. Sound like it though. Spray tons of wd into the module mate and open and shut loads of times and see how you go but if its a micro switch module is the fix im afraid. Worst case scenario you can plastic weld a 2nd handie in buts its a fiddle man.

    Thanks Jimmy,

I might try that as well... I do have vag-com, used it on the Audi but never hooked it up on the Golf, thought it is too basic

I found the plug under the ashtray.

    Cheers
