It has a built in TMC box as well!
Functionally it works the same as the MFD but it has buttons as well to switch audio sources, from cd > radio for example. On the MFD you have to go into a submenu to do that!:brutal:
Also has fast forward and rewind button which the MFD doesn't.
You just don't get that "Simpson-esque" cartoon map display.
The display replicates the one you would see in the dash display (the one in the pic below is just the compass mode display).
The buttons match the climatronic better too

Lot cheaper on ebay too.
Hey all, thought I should reply to this thread that I started and thank you all for the assistance given. So it's all installed and working perfectly with the Whereis map CD V14. Also installed the 6 CD changer into the glovebox without cutting holes anywhere, the changer just sits loose in the glovebox and it's not a problem, closes fine and doesn't skip etc. If anyone requires assistance with something like this in the future, like where to obtain the map CD, let me know :)
Hi YDG - where did you buy your unit?
Looks the goods. Definitely going to have to look into this later in the year. :)
Cheers,
Trent
