    I would only use a MBC to wind the boost down to slow down surging . When your boosting past what the ecu thinks the engine is getting your gonna eventually do some kind of damage . The lambda probe cant react quick enough to the extra boost and the whole ignition side is out of whack . For the drags with race fuel sure its only 15 seconds or less . Daily driving is a big no no . Thats just my thoughts

    Thanks bug_racer for the reasoning behind the question/statement.

    Boost controller to wind down boost down is what i'm looking at doing.

    Why not go for a Trial

    [QUOTE=blue_reality;38204]

    And sorry for the newbiness, but does the chip really make that much difference to justify the cost?

    QUOTE]

    Why don't you go for a trial run? Hop on a chipped APR/GIAC car or go for a Revo 5 hour trial to see how it would actually run on your car.

    I finally took the full plunge today and although I wanted more (don't we all), I am very pleased with the extra power and torque in the lower-mid range (I'm not a redline driver). Feels better going up my steep drive way too.

    Itching to get something before my vessels leaves both the east and west coast US in a weeks time.

    I've been looking at the TyrolSport SMIC's, any feedback from anyone here?

    I have seen better feedback on this rather than the Forge units which appear smaller.
