Or alternatively you can have a 400+hp S3 and have reliability as well!

22Nm gain (on the paper) :

i already have the intake and the flapper mod on the exhaust (which doesn't help much, i think). I had turbo cars and i hate the lag, thats why i want to get 200kw out of the NA engine. I think it would be just right. if i get it chipped with the APR chip, it should be close to 200 and i think the exhaust should get it there. But i dont really want to loose the sound that it has now

Why not, the engine is exactly the same, they got more power from MK5 with a less restrictive intake manifold. I dont think the ECUs are any different, but i could be wrong

balk, ian from rennenhaus's stock mk5 r32 is also on there for comparison. have a look.

aussiejimmy from vortex got some good readings, so did powerofcosmic too or there mk4 r32s as well as the quarter mile times

Trying to answer Balcanac's question on the R32 in particular & difference between MK4 & MK5, but also some examples on N/A tuning.

The MK5, although based on the MKIV r32 engine has a quite different intake manifold (enlarged), right through the MAF size & airbox design. It also has different exhaust manifolds & catalyst setups as well. the ECU's are similar, but the MK5 uses an ME7.1.5 ECU which supports full canbus, the MKIV has none. There are some changes in the emissions system as well. Most of the extra power comes from the intake side on the new R32 (in stock form)

We used 3 new R32's for 9 weeks of testing last year & around 30 dyno runs in different configurations.

Both the MKIV & MKV suffered from a power dip / flat spot (well documented in the MKIV's) which was part cam timing & intake manifold related, but when our software is applied, it elimates it and makes the power curve nice & straight. Why the factory did not fix this, we don't know.

You can see it on the stock runs, & stock with headers / exhaust / airbox - but as soon as you add the software its gone. We also tested a vehicle with a full cat back system & one without.

Now all these dyno's were done before & after, same dyno, same operator etc, and we repeated them with other R32's with ease.

Also for fun, there is our 3.4 N/A Cayman with effect of software & exhaust, and this week, we did a new BMW 130i before & after software.

All these are 6 cylinder N/A motors - quite interesting!

I'm sure the other boys in the thread recommending products have before & after graphs of cars to show the difference as well.

And Porsche Cayman, stock vs Software vs Software + full exhaust

    And a 130i for fun!

    so i was wrong
Which software did you use on these cars? Is there a version for MK4 R32s or is just the new ones?
If im reading the graphs correctly, software, headers and airbox gained 15kw at the wheels. Can something like this be done to my car? i think that this will bring it up to 200kw at the flywheel.
Sorry for all the questions and thanks for all the info
