    Idicator going spaz

Hey guys, I have a mk4 1.6l and lately some of the wiring has gone cuku. Pretty sure it is a trip to the auto electricion but just want to double check it isn't a common problem in the mk4's and easily fixed (I'm dreaming). When driving with the lights off, everything is fine. Once I turn the headlights on when I go to indicate right and hit the brake the indicator goes all fast and spazzy, but only when braking and only when turning right. Also the symbol for the fog lights pops up when I tap the brake. Asked some of my mechanic friends, only ideas they had was to not use the brake at all... but that really doesn't help. Any ideas on what it is? thanks

You could have a bad earth. When the headlights are turned on, they will find the next best available path to eatrh an if thi is through another lamp, it will turn on leading to weird behaviour. The same for indicators or brakes.

Hey mate, thanks for the help - I was doing some wiring on my headlights a week before this started. I'll have a look but I think I'll just leave it for someone who knows what they are doing, thanks.
