Yep. Killed it dead.
I replaced the clutch coil a few weeks ago and I reckon I have simply done up the nut on the front too much. The compressor was spinning but it was laboured and made some noises. I turned the car off as soon as I noticed and the clutch was SO HOT I couldn't go near it even with gloves on.
When I was finally able to pull all the bits off you can see the damage. I'm so pissed off as I have only had a regas a week ago. I'm assuming that a new compressor will require new gas?
This happened as I was putting the car back together to take it for its first drive in a few months. Can I put the pulley wheel on the compressor so the car at least runs?
Heres the gory bits;
Anybody have a Sanden SD7V16 Model 1233 for sale?
