    haha, yeah, Seb did mention that he didn't modify the height from whatever the previous owner had them set to...

    That single tip would need changing though.

    If it makes it sound anything like a modded vr6 zorst, then it'll be worth it.

    Update time!

    I'd kinda forgotten about this thread!

    What's happened since the last update:

    * K-Sport coilovers gone, Bilstein PSS9s installed.
    * R32 steering wheel come and gone.
    * Air intake from DSG-equipped Euro-spec Mk4 R32 fitted.

    The car just keeps getting better. The ride on the Bilsteins is better on the road than the K-Sports (more controlled and yet more supple at the same time), and should be better on the track as well.

    I had an R32 steering wheel for a while, but passed it on to someone else. Things are happening there to make me happier again.

    The air-intake mods seem good - power seems smoother, measured airflow was higher than prior to the upgrade (though my old panel filter was *filthy*, which may have had a part in that). Will see how things go long term.

    I've got a TyrolSport brake caliper pin upgrade, new rotors (from ECS), new pads (QFM A1RMs from GSL RallySport), braided lines (HEL/Goodridge lines from Ingolstadt Autosport) to fit. I've got a set of wheels available to me now for track work, will get getting track tyres fitted to those shortly.

    I've just about finalised the purchase of a Unibrace for the car, and am starting to investigate front strut braces (upper and lower).

    In not so good news, the car broke down last night. Thought it was the fuel pump, but it ended up being the in-tank sender units - so I'm up for $500 or so by the time they're sourced and fitted, but at least then I shouldn't have to worry about fuelling for a while. Also having a new fuel filter fitted whilst I'm at it, to be safe.

    considering exhausts for my v5 atm...not sure wether to go after market or custom. I can get a custom stainless setup built for $900ish. A Remus cat-back will set me back around $1300 apparently from a local installer.

    Honestly, the custom built one will probably be close to the remus as long as it's well fabricated from decent materials - good welding, mandrel bends and decent resonator/muffler and it'd be great. Spend the $400 on something else

    cheers for the advice Manaz. The exhaust shop said they could make any style I wanted and could achieve a variety of sound and had examples in the shop too so they certainly seemed confident they could set me up with something very similair to the Remus. Think I'll go down that path when the time comes!

    I paid around $110 delivered, though that may have been on special.

    GSLRally Sport are good, Greg will sort you out there. Be aware that A1RMs are quite an aggressive pad, and you will need to consider their characteristics and whether they're suitable for your requirements - the HPX pads may be better suited to regular street use, but talk to Greg about that anyway!
