    Man they are a cool car, at our vw workshop the looks and drive of the Mk4.: rule over the mk5 any day! importing only 200 must a been a price thing, pay half the price for one in the Uk and easy to find, but then again not as intresting over there as there common as poo!!

    r32 mk4 just has perfect class, but the 5 to me lost that.
    from the tailights, to the position of exhaust, the shiny 'necklace' on the front... yeah just doesn't have the same presence to me.

    I heard they made 14,000 alltogether and the 5000 you are thinking of is the no. allocated for the US

    They wouldnt be very common in the UK as the engine is big and the insurance and petrol costs would not make them viable for most people.
    Same in Japan.

    All others would be LHD

    I think the numbers are about 2300 in the UK and 5000 in the US. The Aust versions were the only ones to come with individually numbered plaques though, most of them anyway.

    The first 50 didn't have the plaque (50 was all we were set to get to start with). The last 150 did come with the number though.
    Nothing to see here...
