how does this door handle thing come off??

im trying to change the front left hand side with the back one because the back one is in perfect condition and as pictured above the front looks worse for wear. Im not talking about just the wood grain but the whole front section. The front section surrounding the wood grain looks like it is seperate from the rest of the handle and i tried levering it off with a screw driver but to my surprise it wont even budge and all i succeeded in doing was slightly damaging the leather trim below. Is this thing stuck there for good?

It just pulls right off. Get a small screwdriver or pick tool and stick it in where the 2 halves seperate and lever off. do it from the bottom so if you damage it, it wont be noticeable.

Just a little tip with the Dub trims use a bone knife or make a tool yourself with a plastic bread board ( make a wedge) screwdrivers damage the plastic. And hey the best tool in your tool box is super glue mate when it comes to trims they are shocking
