Are you talking like the boser hoods?
hey guys so I was thinking my car would look good with a hood extension
Any guys on here got any how to do? or advice on how I should go about it? I've seen on one of the forums that you can buy the parts needed and just weld onto my hood but it was from the UK and it would be $$ just delivery wouldn't it?

I've looked at these for a while, best I can find is a full carbon fibre boser bonnet. cheapest would be the extension bits and welded on, or even a competent body shop, let them do some fabrication on it.
I have no idea on price, but im sure if it was fairly cheap a lot more people would be doing it.
There's a few DIY's over on Vwvortex, looks a bit tricky tho.
I remember seeing a red MkIV with a hood extension on Fuzion's build thread i'm pretty sure
North American Motorsports is where I got mine... Bora tho. I think they had Golf ones too. Postage took 3 days!

There are many different types of Boser's, more options for the golf than jetta/bora.
Dave got his CF Boser Hood for like $300 shipped, but that was in the US.
If you have a Jetta/Bora I would go with a badgeless grille and hood notch. Either way, your gonna have to go with a badgeless grille, just have to decide how many bars you want. Search for sagless badgeless grille too. It will save you time and money in the end.
If you have a golf, you'll find a lot of options. Do you want the edges curved, sharp triangles, pointy, to start after the headlight outta edge or inside. Cruise the MKIV forum on the tex and find what you like.
You can buy kits, but most of my mates made templetes with cardboard untill they found the design they wanted, worked for them, or liked. Then cut the pieces outta metal, welded on, and did the body work.
Depending on how far your boser goes, you might want to look at switching the headlight indicators to the bottom from the top.
Good luck and send pic's.
Pierre had one of his Red mk 4, way back when.
IIRC, it wasn't cheap to get it done. It's a difficult part to weld on, because the sheet metal of the bonnet is pretty thin, and therefore easy to warp!
I did my own on my bora. Got it from North American motorsport aswell. $278. Delivered. If you know how to weld its not too complicated. And yes youl need to go for badgeless grill.
Go for it
ECS have a 'bolt on' mod like this, Cheep but gaaaayyyyy.
300 posted for a CF Boser is a steal.
