Yeah they make a 2.8 kit if you are interested.

And welcome abroad. And one very nice looking example of a R32.

Out of interest which kit works on the Australian R32s? Is it the Euro spec or the American spec kit or is it a hybrid of both? Also I take it that you've got the GIAC ecu upgrades as well? Was that a similar deal as with the kits above or another custom deal?
Sorry for all the questions and welcome again.
    Cheers,
    Trent

For Australian R32's we need the Euro-Spec version - the primary difference is that the GIAC software is different and it costs a bit more because VF need to essentially pay a royalty to the UK guys who helped to modify the software for our non-USA cars.

Unfortunately our Australian cars are slightly different to the Euro/UK cars and the kit does need a few minor mods to get the piping fitted properly. I had Mark's Workshop in Perth do the initial install and he did a great job.

For us in Austrtalia/NZ, a significant cost is the freight as the supercharger itself is quite heavy and for the Stage 2 kit, the intercooler is reasonably large in volume.

VF are no longer making/selling the Stage 3/4 supercharger kits for the Golf R32 as they had problems with those blowers and fitment issues which unfortunately made them a bit unreliable. I have actually been to VF-Engineering and met with Nik, Jeff and the team and saw their new turbo kit for the R32 - very nicely made and will also use GIAC software. You can see the dyno charts and other info on VWVortex and it uses a water-air charge-cooler. HPA have also announced a new set of kits based around a similar approach and both kits will be launched at Waterfest in the USA shortly.

    Lots of fun
    Steve

Thanks for the info mate. Very interesting and lots of food for thought.
A few more questions. How reliable and useable is the kit for everyday use? Also do you have some good photos of the pipework, install, intake etc. Interested to see how it all fits together in the car. Also do you have to remove the washer bottle or is it just relocated?
    Cheers,
    Trent
