HHEELLPP stripped the thread on the motorside engine mount

any one else had this misfortune.was installing the bfi mount this afternoon and stripped the exhaust end thread out of the section of the mount that bolts to the motor(the old steel bolt into alluminium socket trick). Anyone got one floating around is helicoiling or re-coiling an option.

havent had a good look at the mount up to the head is it possible to remove without taking off the timing belt??

I might have one in my shed but it's far too cold to go and look now

If you have no luck elsewhere, I'll check tomorrow for you.

    cheers gav sorted it today

had a m14 1.5 bolt machined and tapped to m12 1.5 ,and then drilled and tapped the bracket and loctited the sleeve in.

how it should have been done from the factory me thinks
