Probably best to get a scan done Eddie. Might not need to go straight to VW dealership though, see if a local member or one of the other mechanics can do it first - prob cheaper that way!
hi guys,
last week i bought a 2001 bora v6 4 motion oettinger edition, in the last few days i have been noticing that the traction control warning light is lit up on the dash.
sometimes it stays on from when you start the car and even if you turn the esp switch on or off it still stays on.
other times you start the car and its fine, until you drive for a few km and it comes on and stays on.
can anybody help me with this problem, or do i have to go to VW to get it scanned to see what the fault is.
thanks in advance
eddie

anybody out there local in sydney who can scan it for me????
anyone recommend a mechanic who is capable??
i have a mechanic who has been working on my previous cars but he is old school, the bora is alittle out of his league with all its electronic systems.
cheers Eddie

for your info the sensor was $430 from VW.
