Help! Mk4 door lock barrel is stuck any ideas to get this out.

Hi, can anyone help with this.I have what seems to be a common problem with the doors failing to open from inside or out and to try fix this I believe I have to remove the door lock barrel, however the bloody thing Is stuck in fast.
i have watched all the videos on how it should come out but even when the T20 Torx is fully wound out the lock will not dislocate.
    thanks for any help.

Pull the outer door handle out a little while jiggling the lock barrel

To remove the door lock barrel first you have to open your door !

Thanks for comment but I have tried with the door open and the handle fully wedged open. I can get the lock out about 3mm but that's it.
I have seen all the videos and even know how to open the door with a coat hanger!
is there a way to manually release the retainer clip holding the barrel as the torx screw opens up but does not let the barrel come out?

I've got a stuck rear door and I've been trying to coat hanger via the exterior handle trick but not having any luck.
Did you have a different method?
