Anyone running 18x8.5 et35 front 18x9.5 et35 rear???

I am thinking of getting some new 18" rims 8.5 et35 and 9.5 et35. Has anyone here got that size on their golf? I did check the MKIV Wheel Q&A and the only one closest to the 9.5 et35 rear was trickysimon's 4mo bora - which being an AWD may be different under the arch to my FWD golf???

So basically I want to know how the 18x9.5 rear rims would go on a FWD car.

front is all good.

I need to find the photos of when I fitted up a 18x9.5et20 with a 225/40 on it.
that fitted but would have been close, so 18x9.5et35 should be fine

fit with 215/40 and 225/40 too and you should be sweet

For what it is worth, 9.5 Et40 is about the limit of what you can fit inwards. I may even have to grind my spring perch a bit.
