2003 Bora 4Motion
sounds like a plan lol
according to the table in the link i dont need an skc for swapping a used ecu..... mine is an immo 2
If both ECU's are immo2 this looks like the procedure but looks a little light on details.
We are europe as far as VAG goes...ECM Matching
Prerequisites:
Battery voltage at least 12.5 V.
Immobilizer II ECM
[Select]
[17 - Instruments]
[Adaption - 10]
Leave channel at "00"
[Read]
[Save]
[Done, Go Back]
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]
[Exit]
Turn ignition OFF for 15 seconds. Start vehicle.
Notes:
For cars with a separate Immobilizer (Includes 2000+ EuroVan, Cabrio, and many older non-US models), use [25 Immobilizer] instead of [17 - Instruments]. The rest of the procedure is the same.
On some Euro Audi models with Immobilizer 2, the PIN/SKC will be required.
On NAR market Cabrio models produced after 05/1999 the PIN/SKC may be required.
Activating Cruise Control on a new ECU (DBW)
DBW (Drive-by-Wire) Factory fresh ECU's often come with cruise control de-activated.
[Select]
[01 - Engine]
[Login - 11]
Enter 11463 to activate cruise control
[Do It!]
Note: See this page for additional CCS details: Checking Cruise Control using Measuring Values
Coding
The new module will need to be coded. Enter the coding from the original module if possible. If the original module is not available, or did not communicate, refer to the coding chart in VCDS or the factory repair manual.
2003 Bora 4Motion
thanks mate, still not running...
VAGTACHO might be your friend here to get the SKC from the clocks.
Gavin
thanks, will look into this!
Apparently SKC's aren't just thrown around buy the stealership anymore. They pump in some number and letters into their computer something funky happens and sends it to a device that they then plug into something an wolla.
Avoiding anyone to see the SKC.
yYou may have to tow to the dealership and have them authorise the ecu this is done with there equipment all at once during the process, i'm sure test plans for adapting immob items ask which component is new and then it codes it to suit the rest.
