Broken shift linkages

hows it going guys, well long story short, after lending my 1999 VW Golf MK4 1.8 (non-turbo) to my brother for the weekend, its come back with broken shift linkages, and only running on 3rd and 4th gear. no reverse too!



as you can see the plastic part has basically broken, sorry i can't provide more decent quality pics.

does anyone know how much i would be looking at to fix this? really hoping there is nothing to do with the actually gearbox!

edit: i found this thread on vortex; http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?999021, im assuming that would be similar to my case yes?

cant tell you a price to fix it. but if you get the part, just replace it.
thats easy. just fit the part where is the mark from the old one. you will need a 13 mm spanner
