Headlight beam adjustment

Hi all,

I have a mk 4 gti and noticed lastnight i was getting no coverage with my headlights. Tried adjusting using the interior switch, but they were completely unresponsive.
They seem to be stuck on the lowest setting (as you would do if towing something). I thought it might be as simple as a blown fuse but there doesnt appear to be one for it. Any suggestions?

This sounds like a failed actuator/motor...

An extension of this question, can anybody tell me what range does the manual adjustment give, ie using a screwdriver on the headlight assembly?

FYI - Sourced this problem to the switch in the dashboard - no signal was being sent down the line.
Replaced for $63...glad it wasnt something more!
