Yeah my rears are a pain too. I have 8kg/mm rears that barelt deflect at all with weight on them. But at full droop they are nearly falling out without helper springs. You could call someone like MCA and see if they can do you some helpers. Mine sit at 8-10mm when crushed flat but keep the springs captive when its jacked up.
Because of the divorced set up there’s no room to have a helper spring. It’s really just down to the **** coilovers. As the shock is as short as it will go without compressing it.

Could you get shorter shocks so an Max length it'll hold the spring in.
Usually how the Fwd ones go with after market kits

You’d think ‘decent’ coilovers would have that already sorted. The c spanners provided don’t even fit the rear shock collars lol.

BC’s are the worst coilovers ever made.

I'll swap you some stock suspension. They won't fall out.

Hayden and Cliffos Mk4 R32 build

Got around to making the exhaust yesterday. Driving up to my mates shop header only was so dumb. I’ve had some straight piped cars before, but nothing like the outlet being underneath your feet, with a few missing grommets to boot. Short 15 minute drive left me with ringing ears and a bit of a headache to start the day with.

I forgot to take photos during. But got the finished product.

And an alloy rear section to drop the ~12kg muffler section for track days

This morning I cracked into the ‘toe correcting’ rear trailing arm bushes.

Was a bit to hot to remember to take photos but was a fairly straight forward process in the end. Except for one bushing needing a quick visit to the freezer.
Meant to give 0.5+ toe but I forgot to take notice/measure the stock bushings before hand. I used the Powerflex Black series bushings. They are making a touch of noise on first drive, will leave them to settle and see if they quite down or will need to chuck a bit more grease between them and the bracket.

I have long wanted to feel what it’s like driving a car with a weighted shift knob. But because the car isn’t up to a show standard I didn’t want to spend the $250 on a nice BFI one. So cheaped out on this ‘Ktuned’ via eBay shifter extension/weighted knob for the small fortune price of $20.

Now if the car had a standard throw shifter mechanism on it, it would be atrocious. But with the Neuspeed shifter it isn’t too bad, there is a bit of wobble because of the height and weight of the knob, but makes banging gears a whole lot easier! With a super short/notchy diesel geek shifter this setup would be ideal imo.
