Nice. Is the shank diameter of OE gear stick the same as on the 1.8T 20V cars Hayden. Reckon that would fit the Golf 4/Polo 9N3 too?

Yeah it’ll be the same diameter as R32.
The shifter came with a variety of adapters, one would work with the VW shifter if you ran a dye over it to thread it. I have for now just used the grub screws included with loctite and no adapter. It’s tight and so far no issues but time will tell if the grub screws back out or not.

Exhaust is schmickkkk dude.
Also love the shifter setup, that was my intention as well as its all adjustable and looks pretty sweet. Try a skunk2 weighted knob with that shifter combo, feels real good. Also the DG shift kit will REALLY improve things too, cant recommend it highly enough.
Racecar fridays!

Still a suitable vehicle to get to work and back.

A few more drives on it, and sorting out a few teething issues. The new O2’s didn’t work at all (crap eBay stuff) so swapped out the other day and all working good again.
Having a ‘dead’ or heavy spot sometimes in the steering at low RPM’s, I’m thinking it’s because of the mismatched pulley setup I have going on, small crank pulley and smaller than oem power steering pulley. Not a massive issue, just need to blip throttle when reverse parking.
Otherwise. It’s pretty tight, gone through some local twisties with more than normal comfort pace and it didn’t step out/understeer at all. Pretty keen to see how it goes on a track!

Was it 8kg/mm fronts and 10kg/mm rears you went with? Have you stuck with them or gone to different rates in the end?
Pretty rough on the street or not as bad as you'd think?
