Haldex Controllers.

Well, just looking into this little item for upcoming upgrade.

Who's got one and which one are you runninng.

I found there are 3, Standard, Blue and Orange.

Anyone have good info and graphs etc for specs ?

Costs also would be helpful and any links.

Cant tell you much since its not installed but ive got a new blue controller that im looking to sell as im getting a new car if you're interested.

From what ive heard it makes the car feel more like a true awd rather than fwd-->rwd when slip occurs.

yeah I bought mine for 1000 second hand, was only a couple k's old. Definitely improved handling, reduced undesteer in general and especially exiting corners. Well worth the investment. Also piece of piss to install. As for specs, I think the HPA website has a fair bit of info.

Do you happen to know defined differences between the orange and the blue ?.

orange one is more aggressive with power transfeer to the rear and it doesnt disconnect the rears when breaking

They will both do 50:50 split but the orange one will do it more quickly (more responsive i guess)
The stock one and the blue will disconnect your rear wheels when breaking so engine breaking goes thru the front wheels. The orange one doesnt, so engine braking goes to all wheels, and rear can lock up under heavy breaking and you end up sideways. So the blue one is safer but not as fun.

Just been chatting to a man who runs an orange one. Said he never had the rear lock up on him and he pushes hard even in a good down pour!.

Life is for fun and thats why I bought the car in the first place. I can always slow down when work out the limits on just how far you can push it if thats the way i go.

Interested in any other feed back from guys running orange / blue controllers.

This is just the theory, i have never actually driven a car with one. After 3.5 years of ownership im still not sure if i should do it. R32s have the best launch off the line just because the fronts can spin for a sec. Im not sure how that works with blue/orange controllers. I wouldnt wanna break anything in the drivetrain
