realised why this has never sat flush on mine, wiring comes out of the headunit right at support.
think ill get away with just cutting parts of it.

Just my imo, that bumper looks rubbish... get a Rline, R32 rep or something else OEM (new valance). or stay factory, not like the front looks bad as is

    Update.

OK so eventually got donor car home last weekend.
    Gonna start stripping it tomorrow.

Bought a box of Stinger expert sound deadening

Have been looking about for a repair manual. got a UK haynes manual coming from ebay, but it unfortunately it doesnt cover my engine. 2.3 l V5 20V AQN

Spent a few week looking for a manual or something to no avail. Somebody on another forum (VW employee (or at least had access to)) hada pdf of the VW AGZ 10v engine.

So looking like a 20v manual doesnt exist??

I found what looks like a VW training manual for the AGZ. It is actually quite interesting and worth a look.

    http://www.volkspage.net/technik/ssp/ssp/SSP_195.pdf

Quick question for anybody that can answer...

I understand that the v6 4M will have a different drivetrain and suspension parts to the V5, but as V5 doesnt show up on ECS so should i chose 1.8 T / 2L etc??? ( so i get the right bushes for my suspension etc)

Pretty much confirmed that it is a coil. i think.
Need 1 of these now i should probably replace 3 and 4 but 3 at the very least. (money tight at the mo)

with the intention of replacing with a full set eventually.

Have you swapped the coils around just to confirm it is the coil, and not a problem getting signal to the coil ?
The V5 looks different, but for what it is worth the 1.8T has a module which signals each coil to fire. When this goes it appears that a coil is dead but is not.

Hmm no, I didn't check that. Tbh though based on the overall condition of the coil I am pretty sure it's that. If there is a controller that's gubbed them I'm not gonna be happy

    Ok.

So as I couldn't afford a full coil pack replacement. Bought 2 which arrived yesterday. Swapped cyl 3. Engine better, but not quite right. Checked engine codes, cyl 1 misfire. So swapped that one as well. Thought it was weird as I had a confirmed spark when it first blow coil 3. Engine started good, went for a run. Car was great.

Until I went to the shops later.

Same **** misfire thou this time coil 2.

Would the introduction of 2 newer coils affect the others?

I'm going to order a further 5 tonight,

Does anybody know how to test the function if the coil and the connector, I have a multimeter.

so frustrating. Just worried it may be something other than the coils.

    Thanks folks

This could be a combination of coils and something else. Possibly controller, possibly spark plugs. I'm not an expert but I'd head to your local VW mechanic to get it diagnosed. Where are you located?
