    GTI KO4 boost problem

I have done the full exhaust 3" giac chip with a plum back bov. i was told that i should get the vr6 mav sensor and the n75j valve.
I went back to the giac chip guy to put the final program in and i found that when i drive the car it boost's to 1.5 bar, thats as fair as my boost gauge goes too and this wasn't meant to happen. i was told it should boost to 1.5 bar then drop off.

can some one tell me what way i need to have the n75 j valve inplace?

what could cause this to happen?

    thanks.

How hard are you revving the engine. Boost will not drop off until high up in the rev range. Except in first and second, that's just a factor of how quick the turbo spools compared to how fast the engine accelerates, to use up the boost.

Fit the N75J the same as the one you replace.

So did you fit the VR6 MAF?

EDIT If you think there's a problem with your car, you should really be speaking to your tuner. Although it sounds to me as though things are ok. If you had lost power, I'd be wondering if something is wrong.

i have installed the maf but i changed the j75 valve around. when i had it the same way as the stock one, changing gears would loose boost.
eg: i would go hard in first then change in 2nd and the boost would start again from 0 as if i was just taking off. this would happen in every gear.

so i t should be at 1.5 bar then peal off at around red line?

Boost would start to tail off before the redline, depends on a number of factors exactly what revs. I'd expect it to be dropping before 5000.

Are you commenting on what your boost gauge does? The indication will go up and down as you describe as you change gear. If it takes a long time to build up again, then, you have a problem. I'd say the Diverter valve isn't working if that's the case.
