    Gti clutch upgrade

    HI all,
recently had my Mk4 Revo,d and thinking ahead re clutch wear.As anyone on here with a 1.8T knows the power difference is like night and day to stock and a smart man would guess that the stock clutch is working fairly hard. The car is totally stock apart from flash and everything is holding out well.
I don,t want to have to baby the car if you know what I mean so i,m after some advice on the stock clutch and replacement options. Can the stock clutch handle the extra few horses??
I,ve seen the myriad varieties of clutch kits on ECS.Any advice on which way to go is greatly appreciated.VR6 parts have been recommended to me previously as well.
Not looking to mod car any further so just after a slightly stronger setup than stock at a reasonable price.
Also any ideas on labour costs??
    Thanks again
    Trent

I have this for my polo, it is still sitting here in its Box, I have heard it is good for close to 300hp

    Volkswagen Golf IV 1.8T > Drivetrain > Clutch > ES#125 Stage 1 Clutch Kit - With Lightweight Steel Flywheel (14lbs) - ESR198031S1

Cant give you a answer to how it feels, depends when I get the motivation to get it in

I've got the ecs stage 1 clutch kit with 22lb smfw. It's a great set up, clutch feels very light but has heaps of feel, and no chatter thanks to the near oem weight flywheel. Labour for install was around $550 but Jimmy said he would've done it for less . I wouldn't bother changing the clutch until it starts slipping though

Thanks guys. The ECS Stage 1 looks neat and CHEAP.Now to decide on the lighter flywheel for faster spools but with chatter or the heavier fly for more OEM feel.
Also is there any other parts on the car that should be checked out or replaced with a clutch install
