hahha most common probs with the golfs are the window regs you will need to repalce it about $200.00 im sure people will say replace the plastic clips with metal ones, to hard imo
does any one know if its a common problem that golfs have with their windows?
few months back my behind driver window stopped going up n down(you can hear the motor spin but no response) so i kept it closed.
today the passenger window broke aswell but it fell into the door, the motor also works but the glass dosnt move....?
does any body have any idea how to fix this problem?
the car is not drivable especially in this weather
thanks

mk4 the mods begin for round 2 hahahha
I also found that the main gear(which is plastic) on the power window motor strips it's teeth. I fixed my passenger one with a 2nd hand gear from a burnt out motor.

It's a kit for each window and it goes for 112 $ or you can buy the whole inner door for a lot more and this comes with plastic clips so go the 112 $ kit and either do it youself or pay for labour.
We should really petition VW on this one. It's bullcrap.
Yeah my opinion is go the repair kit. This changes the mounts to metal and you wont look back, if you have a bit of time its not too bad with patience mate
