    Golf MK4 Catback Exhaust

hey i have a golf mk4 1.6L and i was shopping around for a catback exhaust, so far went to 6 different places that specialize in exhaust systems. some places said "2inch will give you the power u want aprox 2 - 5KW", and some places said "dont bother putting an catback exhaust on you will be disapointed it wont give you any power at all", and some places said "it will give you 0.5KW gain". :S im so confused right now, i dont know who to believe ?? anyone have any suggestions on what i should do?

I think what you are finding is people not willing to make any substantial claim because you will hold them to it.
Chances are it wont make much difference at all except a lot of noise on a 1.6L golf

You may get some more power down low but it wont be a huge difference.

If you want good sounds, not too noisy and a bit of power go for 2" mandrel bent cat-back system.

Oh FYI if you are planning on getting a rear Valance for the car with a exhaust cutout the part number is 1J6807521CB41 for AU models.

I'm in the process of sorting one for mine, should have a quote soon
