    Golf mk4

    The speedo goes to 0km when i accelerate

    Can any one help me !!!!

    Is the needle erratic when not at zero ?
    I have a suspicion that the speedo gear in the gearbox has been damaged, it is plastic. If it this is the problem you need to work out why it happened. Personally mine was wrecked when the rivets let go on the crown wheel, $3k later ...

    Yep it dose go all over the joint but if i take my foot of the accelerator it goes to the speed im doing
