Its never crossed my mind to consider comparing batteries. I just buy whatever supercheap is selling around the $150 mark and im done.
Gday,
Original varta battery is on its way out in the gf's golf. Done the usual tests with my multimeter etc.
Here in adelaide i can get one from the vw dealer for $255, a bosch silver S3 plus for about $166 or a supercharge Gold mf55 for $136. Then batt world, ibd etc all want 170+ for the usual, century, exide etc
The car does a few shorts trips all week.
Any recommendations?
I used to use bosch silvers when lived in uk and had no probs
Am thinking the supercharge one, made for the temps here in oz.
Mate just got 5 yrs out of supercharge on a 4wd diesel.
Any ideas, experience with batteries here in oz for euro cars?
Thanks

I worked at supercheap and we definitely had less supercharge come back for warranty then century (which is weird because century cost more) so I would go supercharge!
I just got a yellow top for my 2.slow
I need it to run compressors and eventually a sound system again however.
Seems great so far.
Varta, that is all.
