    Who say's it's a $2000 job each time?

The only rotor's I know of that are $1K eac are the current M5's. The pad's are $750+

Not even the E46 M3 front brakes were that dear!

Auto Classic do. Mind you, the way Auto Classic charge, just taking your car in and asking them to look at it will get you a bill for almost $2,000!

There are four brakes on most cars, not two.

I've got EBC Greens as well ... haven't noticed any reduction in dust.

Well, I've just taken a wheel off to pop out one of the centre caps for matching the VW logo stickers and I had a look at the brake pads while I was in there. They have 'AC' on them and they are brand spankin' new... which sucks because I'm going to be throwing away about 5 years worth of pad life shortly, but the brake dust they chuck out is truly ridiculous! I've only had the car for 2 weeks today, and all the wheels are filthy, the tyres are covered in it too. The lower body back from the front wheels are all dusty and the rear of the mudflaps stretching around the back bumper are covered also. Basically it looks like I've done 30 laps around Wanneroo like a cut snake. I have never seen so much dust from a car before. Not even a BMW on OE pads is this bad. It's bad, but not this bad.

Despite this, the car drive beautifully. No sign of a dragging brake at all. It is dead smooth, straight and silent, yet from the outside there must be a small black cloud burst out from my wheels everytime I touch the middle pedal.
