    Gearknobs to suit MK4 manual

    hey all,

I'm looking for a plain metal ball type gearknob to suit my MK4, but all I can find when I search is OEM style stuff, like R knobs and such.

This is what I'm looking for...

Any ideas where to get something like that?

I found this one that someone posted on the 'tex http://www.dojoperformance.com/comer...cts.asp?cat=10 it's the Sansho Shift Knob
Part # 53300 you'll have to scroll down.

I guess all the aftermarket ones will just be generic and somehow attach to the shaft. I was hoping there'd be one that would screw on to the thread directly for a nice fit. Would a generic one stuff up the reverse "push" mechanism?

TMTuning has a good selection of gear knobs and boots.

    Beat me to it.

Be aware that for my last order from them, I copped an "international order fee" which made things quite a bit more expensive than they first appeared...

Would something like that come with a new shift kit? I'm sure I've seen something like that where they include a new knob with the kit.

A couple of Forge Motorsport ones there that may suit. Let me know if you're interested, may be able to get you into the next group ship!

I think I'll just have to go for something generic as I really want that plain aluminium ball look, found a few on ebay, I'll have to measure the stock shaft first though. I'll be sure to update if I find/fit anything.
