I have a spare set of TT/R32 bushes if your desperate... I can send them over ..

Hi All,
just wondering what other people have done regarding replacing wishbone bushes. A while ago h100vw noticed the right front wishbone bush (the rear one) was splitting and I have a service coming up.
Have heard of ppl replacing the front rears with Audi TT bushes, is this still the best option? Is there anything else worth replacing while I'm there?
Cheers and TIA!
[edit].....oh and I realise there's an ecs refresh kit and the upgraded bushes are included in the Stage 2 kit, but do I really need all the rest of the gear? I have already replaced top mounts, so whats the likelihood of the rest of the components needing replacement after 105,000km? $184 vs $36 is a reasonable difference if the benefits of replacing the other components is little

The benefits were substantial on my car. The R32/TT bushes are better because they're solid (the cuts in the stock ones are a weak point, where tearing starts to take place), they're also firmer which means less slack in the suspension. The whole refresh kit replaces all the bits and pieces which are likely to have suffered over time/kilometers on a car - I'd say at over 100,000km, your car would likely benefit substantially.
Nothing to see here...
I will have a spare set of TT bushes shortly as well.
I'm getting the ECS stage 2 but I have already done the bushes with solid polyurethane a year or so a go.
Just PM if you need them.

i'm getting coilovers shortly so i plan to get the refresh stage 2 as well.
car has finally been fixed so i can finally go through with my planned suspension mod!!!
don't want to derail thread, but are there any other components i should consider getting that aren't in the refresh kit?
What about in the rear, surely there are some mounts or whatever that should be replaced?
i checked ecs and found two things, urethane coil spring isolators ($20) and Polyurethane Rear Axle Bushing Kit ($70)

worthwhile/needed when putting coilovers on a car that's done 110,000km's?
Poly bushes don't work well in the back, due to the way they get twisted when the axle moves. I had a link but cannot find it now, some tech geek did a moving cad drawing of how the bush moves and you can see that poly is the wrong material for the job.
I reckon it was on vortex some time ago now.

well it seems most ppl think the refresh kit is worthwhile so I'll look at that option as opposed to replacing the wishbone bushings on their own......what's another $150 anyway eh? oh that's right I'm broke lol
What have ppl paid to get the Refresh Kit installed?
From the ecs GB I got stage 2 + swaybar bushes for the front
and rear beam and axle bushes.
I'm yet to take delivery.
I too would like to know pricing for installation. I'll be making calls when I get all the bits.

I had a good chat to Jmac about my car recently as I'm in a similar situation. He suggested check the front swaybar bushes as well as the control arms, and lo & behold upon recent inspection when the car went in, that's what the report came back with too!

mmm...mine are split as well, and i think they've been split for a long while now. every time i go over an imperfection i get a metal on metal ding. would love to replace them, but have other priorities.
