This maybe a silly question but why would you be looking at brake pads from the US?

Surely someone in Oz stocks brake pads??????

And risk buying something that may or may not fit.......

I get mine from the uk or the us. Usually around 30-40% cheaper.

As for the original question, I don't know, but if you can find the same pads here, compare part numbers.

Try GSL Rallysport. They are a sponser of this forum. I bought my pads and rotors from them...more than happy with the price and service.

While we are on the subject. I need to do the rear pads and rotors on my GTI.
I got slotted DBAs on the front and I rekon I warped them after about 6 months and the cost and breaking improvement is not worth it for a daily drive.

What differences are their between OEM, DBA and other brands ?

On other cars I've had slotted just wasn't worth the extra coin. They look good but they make noise when the pads touch the motors some rusted etc.

I just get brembo blanks they are ventilated and are finefor daily drive and quite cheap 50 each from the states from memory.

Also a side note most warping comes from washing your car and spraying water on the motors so from very hot to very cold gives the metal not enough time to cool down so the warping happens.
