Foff, you can still get the recall carried out if youre car needs them done. Might be worth calling VW and sussing it out

Loving the way this car is progressing! What are your thoughts on the USP control arms? Ive considering grabbing a pair at some stage

Haven't noticed any noises while at speed, but in carparks and driveways they can be pretty noisy. I dont think it's the camber top as much as the actual spring binding though. Going to try grease the tops up a little more, otherwise I might look into a spring perch bearing or something similar.

Thanks! I should definitely inquire about it. I'm happy with the control arms, they are pretty solid and havent been making any noises since I've installed them. Only thing I was a little sketchy about was the outer bracket for where the hub mounts seems to be a tiny bit oversized. So when you torque the bolts up it actually squeezes the bracket a little bit. It would have only been 3-4mm but yeah, other than that they seem fine.

    hahaha touche.

That bracket is the rear HID level sensor if I am correct.

Also speaking about HID sensors, the one on the front, is the metal rod (droplink thing) supposed to be straight? because mine is definitely curved at probably 70 degrees or something.

still havent had a chance to jack the car up and get a photo of the sensor..

But after installing the camber tops and Adjustable RCA's I lowered the car around 20mm all round and went and got an alignment. How the car sits now. Much better I think. Although I'm scrubbing on the screw holding the inner guard to the lip on both sides. Still deciding to either dial in more camber, or remove the screw and move the metal tab a little.

Also deleted the rear wiper. I contemplated upgrading to a Polo wiper but deciding this would look cleaner. Bit of rain-x and it should be good. I'll probably have to polish the glass around the hole as there is a bit of stuff around the gromet that I couldnt remove with a glass cleaner.

Ground control camber tops yeah? How do you find the ride on them and did you notice if they were lower or taller then oem bushes+bearing?
    Looking tidy as!

Yeah Dyl! The ride is awesome. Steering is tighter and more responsive, and I bet a dogbone mount will improve that again. There's definitely a lot of noise when at slow speeds. I still haven't pulled the shocks and given them a good greasing though so I think that'll help. From memory I'm pretty sure they're shorter then the oem bushing and bearing, but there wouldn't be much in it hey. Maybe 5-10mm but that'd be it.
