    Fitting Climatronic on a 98 Golf Mk4 GLE 1.8?

    Hi All,

    Anyone done this before or knows if it can be done?
    Found a used one and was thinkng it will be cool to have on this old car.. heee

    I imagine this would be difficult, as my understanding is that there's quite a lot of integration between the Climatronic and the ECU - the Climatronic can be used to read a variety of codes out of the ECU for instance (giving you digital readouts on things like road speed, various temperatures, etc).
    Nothing to see here...

    Ive looking into it before for my bora. It can be done but theres a bit of work involved (wasnt worth the money/time in my opinion). Other then just the unit itself a lot of other parts have to be changed/replaced to digital as Manaz said

    Plus, I believe little things like servo motors need to be installed in all the vents, as the Climatronic system opens and closes them all automatically.
