    First Trackday in the .:R

So i'm off to Wakefield Park tomorrow for a Circuit Club Trackday. Done two there in the past in my old 205 GTi which was great fun around the twisties.

Looking forward to seeing how the .:R goes with 4motion and a bunch more power.

Will try get a bunch of photos and post them up in this thread after. Part of EPCC as well so i think that includes video footage too.

You will probably be off to buy sway bars after this session at a guess. MKIV was notoriously flimsy.

Keep it the right way up and have a smile for the pics.

Have fun, but if ur pug was a 96KW version than I think you might be lapping quite close in the R as the Pug's are light as !

Got home about an hour ago. Will write more tomorrow but briefly...

First session was a bit rough as i was driving it like i drove the 205. ESP was turned off nice and early.

Second session was the first timed one and i managed a 1.18.1 which i was happy with.

In the last timed session of the day i was really getting it together. Strung a few good laps together in the 1.16's and then the one time i got a tyre off the track all day it went into probably the only pothole off the side of the track (about a 10cm lip up to an access road off the side) and put a massive dent in my rim. Tyre instantly deflated. So i drove 250km home from Wakefield Park on the spacesaver which the previous owner thankfully fitted (in place of the repair foam stuff) which was lucky as i needed a new rim to get home.

    Damn.

Anyone know a good rim repaired in sydney?

That would roll out ($150) but it'd probably make more sense to buy a used wheel for the same.
