    theres one for sale from bug_racer which ijust updated pics, remus exhaust will fit a.. 1.6-> 1.8t gti's

    most exhaust places will do it for $300-750 as you really dont need a very large exhaust.

    best thing to do is get a QUIET muffler not a CANON for gods sake pleeeeease! ... as they will decrease performance on any car lol. and sound like utter **** at the same time haha

    They don't decrease performance, they just really really really badly do not suit golfs

    I thought it was a remus muffler advertised. Shall have to have a look again.

    Has anyone replaced a system on a GTI from the Turbo back? I am looking at doing that in the future to free up the turbo abit and any brands or reccomendations would also be helpful!

    Quoted about $300 for a cat back for mk4 golf 2L, i think was 2"

    Or $350 for 2.25" cat back.

    Both quotes include muffler. I think i might take my car there next week


    Liverpool Exhaust quoted me about $600 :S

    Yer ide pay that.
    And Dont worry there is no way ide ever put a "ricer" (skyline) exhaust on my car. Will Definitly be a 2.5" cat back with a duel tip muffler

    I have a 3" Stainless dump into a high flow cat (can't remember brand). That set me back about $750. From there it goes into a Remus system that I got seond hand for $250. So for a full system you would be expecting around the 1k mark.

    I got a 3 inch turbo back system for my A3 which was 1600 IIRC. I knew I was going to get a big turbo in the future. I would probably go with 2.75 inch if you are keeping the std turbo but considering a chip in the future.

    The DP definitely helps with spool up.

    On a 2L 8V, i'd be going a 2.25" else is overkill, probably ruin bottom end.

    Ok so ill look into 2.25" lol didnt no there was any bottom end to loose totally stock. not very quick
