    exhaust header differences

    Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone could tell me if any of the exhaust headers from the different mk4 engines are compatible with each other?
    Eg. 2.0 header on a 1.8
    1.8 on a 1.6 ect.

    Thanks, Darren.

    Short answer; no.

1.8 and 1.6/2.0 are very different engines.

1.6 and 2.0 headers are probably different from eachother too, due to the difference in cylinder block height.

Honestly, I can't imagine there'd be many gains in putting something else on. They seem to be an ok design, from memory.

Summed it up perfect. doubt there would be any gains even with a custom header. some 1.6's like mine even came factory with "extractors" which is pretty cool.
