The APR one is just the inserts. Not sure why you'd need to replace the metal components of the dogbone.

fella's - ours is just the oval bushes x 2 - the alloy mounts dont break (unless you have a head on accident) - we also had R&D done on the round bush in the pendulum & did not have any positive results from replacing that. You can actually rotate this bush 90 degrees in the pendulum & get a 20 % stiffer reading than stock. A lot of effort was spent in getting something designed that cured the problems of other ones on the market.

We actually export these mounts to Europe.

Will organise a discount price for forum members (so no group buy required) & you can pick them up at your local APR dealer. Will start another thread for it to leave this one alone.

fellas, back to the original post.... if you're in, great, but if you would like to get your mounts thru APR, then fine, I completely understand and have no financial benefit by going thru this Group Buy, however I personally prefer to replace the complete dogbone unit rather than force new bushes off and on my OEM mount.

Sorry mate, I'm going to have to bow out of this one. I might get one of these much later down the track but I'm thinking of doing new tyres and maybe swaybars first. I hope this doesn't inconvenience you in any way.

    Updated buyers list...

I will keep this EOI thread going until this Friday, then based on the final numbers, we can determine if there is enough interest to proceed.

Stay tuned and watch this space......

If we wanted to develop poly mounts we could have done this 10 years ago when the MKIV got introduced.

Price may be a no brainer but in 6 months to a year time when you replace the poly how much of a no brainer is it?

Reality is poly cracks with time.It is the nature of the material.Thats why the density line was created....rubber with a harder durometer.

I have loads of customers that come over from VF Engineering mounts to our mounts because they are tired of having to open up there mounts and change the poly components.

In the end rubber > poly no matter what way you look @ it.

Well I've had the APR mount fitted for ages now so I'll be sure to keep an eye out for the issues you pointed out. But from an end users perspective after about 18 months so far, I can't fault it in any way.

    Final Call this week

    Fellas,

It appears there is not enough interest to qualify this group buy, but I am still willing to leave this EOI thread open until this weekend.

I never meant for this to turn into a Coles vs Woolies price war.. however the finalized group buy pricing is US$82, as at 7pm is AU$125... that equates to $25 more than the APR part, with the added value of a complete Dogbone replacement rather than just the bushes which will require more fitting time and more $$.

Matty, no sweat, I fully understand the cashflow situations that we face, this happened to my just a few weeks ago as well.
