    Electrical troubles

So my mk4 gti has a few electrical troubles, i'm not sure if they're all related but ill just list them and see what you guys think, could be a simple fix I don't know.

-Windows wind intermittently, they'll move for a few seconds then stop, then start, and stop until they're at the top/bottom. At first I thought it was trouble with the drivers side switch, but the same happens when you use the switch on each door.

-The rear left door has two issues. The lock doesn't work and neither does the window motor. Have replaced the motor with a new one but no result. Tested the plug to the motor, its receiving power but wont turn.

    - Boot lock does not work. only locks manually.

-I don't have remote entry. The doors will unlock when I turn the key (except the rear left), but they will not lock. I lock them manually every time I leave the car. I have had the drivers side locking module apart but cant find anything wrong with it.

I really don't know where to start with these issues and don't really want to pay an auto electrician to look at it. Are the windows and locking mechanisms controlled by the same main module? could it be bad earth? I've checked the earth wires under the battery and in the b pillars.

    Please help!!!!

I would probably check the CCM fuses

Not sure which fuses they are but:

You can also check this out:
[Mk4 Golf] comfort control module problem.. ! - Audio, Electrics and Lighting - uk-mkivs

I believe it would be something with the CCM because that controls most of those things that you are mentioning.

Just google MK4 CCM problems and go through some threads

Also, drivers side door randomly locks while driving.
Just checked for ccm fuses and it looks like it doesn't have them?! I'll upload a photo later, but could there be a different spot for early models? It's a 1999 AGU

Where in Adelaide are you, I can check what fault codes are there which will hopefully help narrow it down.

You could try swapping your CCM with a known good one to rule out problems with that. I'm in the Port if you want to drop down and try my CCM.
