    Ecu

    hey i was just wondering how much a new ECU would be, i wanna boost my turbo and need a new ecu to do so (i think). i dont no much about em so im just askin around. any input would be much appreciated

    You don't need to buy an ECU just have it Flashed with new software. The new software will alter the way the engine runs, more boost, fuelling and ignition timing to suit.

    A MK4 GTI would go from 150hp to nearly 200.

    yeh thats what my mate sugestid the other day, he asked me to ask how much that would cost???
    also i was wondering how many pounds be for the turbo starts to cut out. if anyone nows?

    If you try and get much more than a BAR of boost out of the K03, it'll end up costing money.

    Realiability i would go with what he says.

    My own GTI has been Running 18psi all day everyday for around 19 months now. And around 35000kms. No problems

    the girlfriends gti overboosts to around 21 in 3rd and falls back down to around 18-19psi and that car has been like that for around almost 26 months and around 50000+ kms.

    But really it's all in the tuning and how you look after the car.
