Thread: ECS Stg 2 refresh kit + Bilstein Shocks = Creaking strut tops, why?

    Correct. So either they neglected to fit the new ones when they put the refresh kit on last year or the one supplied in the kit has failed completely. I should have kept the broken bearing to see if I could tell, guess I will never know.

    I'm not sure how a strut top mount causes loss of brake pressure...
    Nothing to see here...

    It doesn't but it was causing the clicking/creaking sound when turning the wheels at low speed. The brake issue was cause by the lateral play in the right hand wheel bearing!
