do it
yer the camber does add some serious menace to the rear end,can stare at my cars rear all day long,i am an ass man i guess
nar not yet. iv still got miles of wheel gap as you can see from the pics.
Still have to lower it sum more first, going to lower the front another 10mm. (50-55mm clearance eeeekkk!!), then bring the rear down about a inch or so, which will make the car about level when comparing the side skirt to the ground. Ill then see if im going to need them, i really brought them in fear of too much poke, although i think some extra camber would look good..
Had compliments from a fellow worker after he followed me down the highway. Said it was the toughest looking rear he had seen around town, so that was nice
some quick pics from today, one of the camera nerds in my house had been using the camera and i didnt notice the settings till i loaded the pics, here are some of the clearer pics.
Also finally some of dads passat cc
excuse car and wheels, they are sooo dirty
Lowered the rear about a inch, will try and get some more out of the front when i get the chance.
looks the biz mate
chuck the camber plates on and slam that puppy so there aint no tyre gap!

So 18" lips on the 17s arnt doing if for me after more research... they dont look scaled right against the centres in other pictures as others have said.
So... new plan is:
on the front:
rear lip, rear centre, 15mm adapter, front barrel. this should give me a ~7.5" wide wheel. 205/45 tyre off the rear and enough offset that i could still wind the coilover right to the bottom if i wanted. Tyre will give me a bit more side wall height so i can close up the wheel arch gap without going to much lower. 205 will give me 8mm approx, 215 = 18mm approx extra tyre height
on the rear:
Re drill the flat backed front centre, so no adapter needed (maximum offset play), and new lips for some bigger dish, should be 9.5-10" in the end depending on what i can fit between the shock and arch.
and most likely a 215/45 tyre for a 9.5 wheel or 225/45 tyre for the 10", then add the camber plates.
Giving me again more tyre height, so i can hopefully tuck while still having some nice rake.
Shouldn't work out toooo expensive as ill just need two new tyres, two new lips, refurb existing lips, and drilling cost
sounds good mate! cant wait to see progress
dom
