What's wrong with an exhaust that bursts your ear drums? As long as it makes a glorious roar that is and not a mindless drone that is (an angry VR6 will help this).

Welcome to the forums by the way Bert. A nice mint GTI you go there. Personally I prefer the Montreals over the stockys but then again there are plenty of nice aftermarket rims that you can get as well.

    Cheers,

Cheers bujna, looks great! Definitely food for thought.

Love those rims too, is it possible to stick a VW in instead of the four rings?

I've just gotten back from a long weekend away and the new baby thoroughly enjoyed the open roads away from the city.

There is a type of vw wheel that has same/similar sized centre caps, so i might think about grabbing a set off ebay at some stage, and seeing how they go

    I have the same. They're 17" x 7" (or 7.5).

    firstly welcome to the forum,

I have a 2.0 lt Bora and i just wanted a nice throaty rumble to mine, nothing that drooned or got annoying. So i had a mate of mine put on a DNA Performance Stainless steel muffler on the back.

I love the sound of it, it's real throaty when you put your foot down and when you come down through the gears it gives a nice burbble. No drooning though.

I had dual dump pipes on my previous golf hanging out below the stock valance but decied to fit a 4 motion rear valance to the bora and added some twin stainless pipes, good thing is it dosn't look over the top. i'll try post some pics up for you.

Looks great Silver Dub - more food for thought for me!

Looks like I'll be making a trip to Volkspower this weekend to see what they can do for me. I'll have a chat about exhaust options and probably ask them to swap the tyres over and put the Montreal II's on.

Thanks all for the suggestions and please keep the pictures coming!
