Have you tried bypassing the yellow connector under the seat?
Could some knowledgeable peoples help me solve my airbag fault issue these above listed parts have been identified as the fault these parts are prohibitively expensive genuine and new from vw ie sensor $ 275 can you confirm these are exclusive to gti only given lesser models don't have seat side airbags and any reasonable part purchase alternatives in Australia ie mechanical/water damage wreck. I need to get car off WOVR and mobile ASAP with all other works complete. Thks Mark

Would this not disable sensor thou-car is in workshop so they would do such things
No, they just remove the connector from the harness and join the wires.
The connector is known to cause high resistance in the circuit, which in turn logs fault codes.

Seat belt buckle has a sensor in it check that wiring too.
Set belt chime will sound even when belt is on, is a good indication of a fault.
This is related to airbag system - the air bags will only fire when the seat belt is bucked.
