Drivers seat mk4 gti compatible with mk 5

Is it possible to use a mk5 gti seat in a mk4 to overcome airbag issues or are they different?

I looked into fitting a MK5 steering into my MK4. The airbag harness needs to be modded and is untested (e.g. Nobody that has done the mod has crashed to test it works!) I assume the seat airbag connector would be the same. The frames, sliders and mounting points are all different as well. You can read more here
