Drivers door not locking and other general locking issues....

    Hi all,

So my eccentric bora has recently decided to throw anouther tantrum in the form of stuffing up with my door locks.

    My locking issues are:
    - All doors will only lock from the bootlid lock
    - Drivers door will not lock via fob or via key in door
    - Other doors do lock from fob and/or passenger side key barrel.
    - Pushing down on drivers door lock is rather difficult.
    - Car alarm goes off even when driver or all doors are unlocked

Is this a body control module issue or just potentially coming from the drivers door module?

Any advice on how to diagnose and fix?

    Thanks for your help.

Likely to be the driver door lock module. This has been discussed many times.

Going from your other post regarding water entry check you convenience module this could be water damaged and this could also lead you to your cause for moisture in the car.

    Ive got a similar problem!

-Drivers door is difficult to lock when open
-No interior lights turn on when drivers door is open (No recognition on the cluster that its open)
-Headlights do not beep when left on
-Back left doesn't work with central locking, has to be opened and closed manually. (Possible vibration of a loose cable in the door?)
-Back right is temper-mental where it will re-open after the car is locked with keyfob.

I have an aftermarket keyless entry kit as my car didn't come with the keyfob stock.
What would my issues be caused by?

Sorry to hijack your thread but these issues also annoy me haha.

I would think that its time for the locking mech and actuator to be fixed/ replaced in the drivers door

With the left one it will be worth checking that a signal is being sent to the lock actuator. With the right this might be due to the fact the drivers door isn't working properly??
