how have you all gone in fitting a double din head unit in your mk4's? i need help as i just got my new head unit and now have no idea how to mount it

Have replied to your PM, for everyone else, the trim is the just the standard piece that comes with the Alpine head unit. Guess I was just lucky that it blends in perfectly!
What head unit did you get?

let me know on the solution as well please, as I have waited several months to get this in the car
it's fairly simple. Remove radio, Remove pocket and place the frame for the double din unit into the slot. Wire up and you should be done. The one above shows how to do all that.

I have a 7" JVC DVD and i needed that plastic frame. I also got the antenna plug and the wiring plug so didnt have to touch any of the stock wiring. Its a perfect fit
