25-30kg for a front seat if I read Vortex correctly and the whole rear seat assembly is around 50kg or something stupid like that.
    Cheers,

    It's cheaper too..

Comes back to the fact that there are heaps lighter cars around for tracking so a dedicated track car would be the way to go instead of ruining your daily driver by ripping everything out, and having no comfort. Just my 2c..

Iam hearing this alot about cams losing bottom end...but my assumption is if you do cams must do porting otherwise deffently a waste of time...

Once we go to full weld in next is to remove the headliner and whats left of the carpet and dry ice out all the sound deading. Over all so far we have reduced the weight by over 100KG and that is with installing a full bolt in cage, I'm pretty sure we can lose at least another 50 with all the headlining carpet, airbags and sound insulation add to that a battery relocation and replacement with a light one. As mentioned reducing weight is the easiest and best way to pick up free horsepower.
    Very true Al...cheapest way too

You're in the Mk 4 forum remember.

It's not all about the latest, greatest or fastest stock car you know.
    Nothing to see here...

I think the greatest bit is quite applicable.

I know what you mean, but it's also good to keep your feet (and wallet) on the ground and everyone knows it's much cheaper and easier to mod a factory-turbo car than any kind of NA mods or conversions..

Also you dont have to get the latest and best, any S3 in good condition would be awesome..

I'm faced with the same thing so not winding anyone up, just have to enjoy it for what it is with some light mods, or buy something faster.. my 2c.
