I read on the German R32 forum that the Mk V does not have a forged crank like the Mk IV - thats the only place I have ever seen this mentioned so might be worth further investigation before you start pumping it up.
Seb, when you say V8 throttle body and MAF, can you advise which engine that was off?
What kind of rev limit/red line did the Motorsport versions have?

It was from an early s4 v8 I think , Im not sure , it was used cause thats the bolt pattern that was on the manifold .
Rev limit was 8000 rpm based upon the rules of procar at the time , it was later lowered to 7300 rpm

Were the rod bearings changed at least to go to 8000?
