Ah sorry should read all the thread my bad:facepalm: Dont make the classic mistake of not checking the oil feed and return pipes, seen it before, and was in a dealership where a new hairdryer was fitted and seized soon after, the classic 1.8T carbon issue was the problem. Pipes were choked

Yeah I did read in the bentley that it is important to "flush" the oil lines and the manufacturer of the new turbo suggest replacing them so thats on the top of the to do list.

The main difference I could see was the larger diameter of the compressor inlet.
I already had an ATP manifold but the turbo came with another one which was ceramic coated and has clearance on the runners for removing some of the head ache installing them .

All in all the instal was very straight forward EXCEPT for the TIP that the kit came with.
The whole thing was just not right ! as in I had super massive issue with it reaching the maf as you really had to force it over to reach ,but then it would pull off the bottom :mad: and all the mounting points for the diverter ,PCV and other vacume points where in the wrong spot or wrong size so I had to ghetto mod a few things to get it back together .
So with the fun I had with the tip I have ordered some stainless pipe and some silicon bends/reducers to make up my own tip in the hope of sorting out the mess of hoses around that area.
Thought I would disassemble the old turbo to inspect the damage........
